We came to the East coast to deliver Matthew to his new church. It has been an exciting thing to do. He has a very welcoming new church, Scotchtown Presbyterian Church. (The new pastor will have to get a web site up soon so I can give you a link!) I am very excited for him, and for them. I think this is God’s place for him. His new church is beautiful and the people I have met so far are very caring and welcoming people.
The adventure has included trying to get things set up for Matthew. A trip to the bank revealed that you cannot get a checking account without proving residence. And how do you do that? It is far from easy to get it all settled, the new driver’s license, the new bank account, the new bed …. what a lot of things there are to do!
This has all made me think of another Father who sent his Son to a group of human’s struggling to do God’s work. God sent his only begotten Son … and his reason was love for us. Do we sufficiently appreciate his love for us?
For God so loved the world that he gave his only son …. that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
